Taking the First Step!!

Hello, you guys!

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to our readers. I really appreciate all of you who have stuck with us and all the new people who have started reading our blogs. We appreciate all the support.

So this blog is going to be on the movie, “Raya and the Last Dragon”, which is a Disney movie which released in 2021 and the plot is focused on a fictional place known as Kumandra which got divided into five parts due to the greed of humans and it was later overtaken by a vicious creature ‘druun’, which turns people into stone.

Except for certain people who had a dragon stone to protect themselves, which is how our main characters survived.

Oh, also, did I tell you, this movie has dragons, especially Sisu, one of our main, super optimistic characters and a cute armadillo called ‘tuk tuk’ *cue fangirl moment*

In the blog today, I don’t really want to discuss the plot of the movie, but the learnings and positive highlights I picked up on, while watching the movie. Okay, now let me start my movie fangirling.

The movie highlights, how so many people have gotten distant and lonely, because they have been divided into civilisations and how it is so important to build trust in between all the tribes to come together and live in harmony, which really reminded me of how with our battle against the virus, so many different fields of work have come together and put people’s safety first and put their trust in one another, instead of grudges or bias that were prevalent otherwise.

It also showed how when different people from different tribes (backgrounds, thought processes) come together, you have so much more to offer, as a team, as a group, as in comparison to limiting your resources when it’s just an individual. Also how you do not have to be alone, you can accept help, you will not be seen as weak because you need help, but brave, since you are willing to grow with the help of others and the skill set they bring to the table.

The movie also helped me realise, how sometimes, people are reluctant to put their trust in the other person, because they do not know if it will be reciprocated and which is why, sometimes, it is necessary to take that first step, that leap of faith. I know so many of us would say, but what if we fall, but then what if you fly?

Sometimes, I feel like how much ever I write to express how much I appreciate the existence of certain movies, shows and books in my life, I never do justice to how much they have actually taught me, but I hope that if this made your day at least 1% better or made you smile, it is definitely worth it.

SAPPINESS SCALE – MOSTLY HAPPY BUT SOMETIMES MOPEY.

Thank you for taking some time out of your day for reading this,

I appreciate your time and please do give us feedback
